vection smart working augmented reality virtual reality

In the last year, the traditional working method has been completely revolutionized to deal with the critical situation caused by the advancement of Covid-19. Despite the numerous initial inconveniences, some of which are still ongoing, this change inevitably accelerated the transition to smart working - a method that was considered a niche phenomenon only until recently - thus revealing its enormous hidden potential.

This frenetic and semi-forced change, without a running-in phase, highlighted the need to rethink all corporate and personal organizational levels, as well as the need to adopt new means and tools to facilitate the transition.

However, technological innovation, and in particular the immersive technologies of augmented reality and virtual reality, are proving to be able to contribute to this step, allowing the positive aspects of remote working to be strengthened and the disadvantages generated by it to be minimized.

'We should be teleporting and not transporting' literally 'We should teleport ourselves, not transport ourselves'. These are the words used by Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, to share his farsighted vision on human-computer interaction and remote work. The company founded in 2004, which today has approximately 1.84 billion active daily users, has recently been focusing on integrating these technologies into teleworking in order to provide a presence without physical travel.

Find out how the technologies developed by Vection are facilitating the business transition towards Smart Working.
